ORGANIZING COMMITTEE

When the union's inspiration through the workers' blood shall run,
There can be no power greater anywhere beneath the sun;
Yet what force on earth is weaker than the feeble strength of one,
But the union makes us strong.
—"Solidarity Forever" (1915) by Ralph Chaplin

WHAT WE DO AND WHY WE DO IT

Our role in FUDTA is to help members organize and mobilize in advocacy of their professional interests. We serve at the direction of the FUDTA President, Executive Board, and Rep Council, and primarily focus on supporting the efforts of the Bargaining Team.

One important aspect of our work is to empower Site Reps to organize their sites so they are able to mobilize in response to site-based issues, both contractual and non-contractual in nature.

Public education does not exist without our dedicated counselors, librarians, nurses, program specialists, psychologists, speech and language pathologists, substitutes, and teachers. As such, we believe that administrators must honor our Collective Bargaining Agreement and give our educators a seat at the table when making decisions.

Our working conditions are students' learning conditions.
